Agama 500 hour Teacher training course

The RYT 500 HR Agama Teacher Training Course (ATTC) prepares you to teach at Agama’s headquarters in Koh Phangan, Thailand, teach at any Agama Yoga branch worldwide, open your own Agama branch, or teach the Agama curriculum at your own studio.

The 500 HR course combines Agama’s five-week 200 HR TTC and seven-week 300 HR TTC.

You can only become a fully certified Agama Yoga Teacher after successfully completing the 500 HR ATTC. This certification allows you, directly after graduation, to teach the first three levels of the Agama program and then to continue your advancement as an Agama Yoga Teacher, gradually receiving the empowerment to teach higher levels, workshops, retreats etc.

Supporting you throughout the 12-week course is an inspiring team of Agama Yogis. You will have lectures from the founder of the school - Swami Vivekananda Saraswati - and the opportunity to study with Agama’s most advanced instructors. The complete Agama teaching team is here to support you in your process of evolution, to answer questions, and to hold space on a psychological and emotional level.

PARTICIPANTS IN THIS COURSE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO

  • Becoming inspired and competent Yoga teachers
  • Bringing these teachings to an ever-widening scope of spiritual seekers
  • Facing, overcoming, and transcending their limitations
  • Developing and strengthening discipline, motivation, and willpower
  • Empowerment as Agama Yoga teachers

This program is specially designed to immerse each participant in the spirit of Yoga so that they may later spread the teachings. This training emphasizes not only teaching but also the understanding of the purpose of practicing Yoga.

Agama is the pioneer of Yoga on the tropical paradise island of Koh Phangan, Thailand. Founded by Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, Agama is a place for self-discovery, for revealing one’s full potential, and for spiritual evolution. Agama offers great teachings, a special atmosphere, and profound Yogic knowledge. Its understanding and teachings of traditional Yoga are valuable and rare, making it unique among the array of other Yoga schools in this world. The surrounding community also adds to the experience of Agama. Generations of Agama Yogis have helped form a supportive, dynamic, and interesting environment in which to grow and thrive.

Agama gives access to an authentic form of Yoga based on Indian and Tibetan traditions, presented in a practical and comprehensible way through a university-style curriculum program. The teachings are easy to implement in daily life and are often adopted immediately by students. The aim of Agama is to guide students into a journey of self-discovery and self-development.

Agama has a strong and all-encompassing understanding of how energy works, and utilizes the chakra system – the seven governing energy centers of our being - as a map to navigate through this world. Chakras enable us to achieve a state of inner balance and harmony, access amazing powers, and reach mystical experiences and deep states of consciousness.

Students at the school have a rare opportunity to learn and practice forgotten, sacred teachings and techniques from the East integrated with a Western mindset. Agama believes there should be a bridge between spirituality and rational thinking. Classes are taught in a modern, easy-to-understand way, while keeping the essence and integrity of the ancient teachings.
